Bliss
What a fine scene. These cats have got it all together. Has the recipient just had a sauna?

As the summer draws to a close...
... the garden becomes even more inviting, just to catch the last rays of sumshine with a glass or two of wine down by the pond.

Yes, it dows get a bit jungly, various plants have matured somewhat in the last couple of years.

I usually hide on the other side of the pond under the big dark tree :)

Knitted breasts again
I've had another spate of requests for the pattern for knitted breasts. The pattern itself is copyright, but the address for obtaining it is here:
61 Pennhouse Avenue, Wolverhampton, WV4 4BD, UK
For an experienced knitter wanting to have a go themselves, knit a circle (like a small mug mat) as the base (either straight or in the round), then when the base is the right size, a garter stitch ridge (one row), then (knitting in the round, I suggest), decrease evenly and severely to take the 'walls' of the breast straight up, then start decreasing more to shape the breast inwards. If you knit in the round, the nipple is like the little finger tip of a glove. You have to stuff it somehow, so you might either stuff from the nipple, laboriously, or knit the base to and fro, thus leaving the radius open through which to stuff, then sew up the base seam at the end. Clear as mud? That's all you're getting.

Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns - Ann Budd
Dead simple square bodies for each of the six main sleeve variations, with either crew or v-necks, in five different gauges and up to 54" chest. If you want to add a touch of style though, such as shaping to the body (how revolutionary ;/ ) or a wider neck line, you have to know how to do it yourself.

For real style, albeit for one gauge (22sts / 10cm) and "only" up to 42" chest,
1000 sweaters beats the above a million times over. Let's face it, if you can do the adaptations required to get some shape into a sweater from The Knitter's Handy Book, then you can work out a different gauge or size for 1000 sweaters.
