Theory tests for future teachers

I"m a student of maths at our local university. It"s my final year and soon I"m going to be a teacher. I"d like to share my opinion on theory tests and exams which students of teacher studies have to take. We have lots of classes like teaching methodology and psychology. We have to take theory tests every semester. These tests are supposed to check our knowledge of these subjects, but how on earth can they prove whether we are going to be good at teaching or not? I understand that such exams are necessary when our knowledge of maths is checked. Such subjects include a lot of thinking and individual work. But teaching is different, you have to know how to interact with people and how to transfer you knowledge in the most effective way. We have to take some practical training at local schools, but nobody treats that seriously, to be honest. We are not even given grades for that and nobody gives us any advice on how to improve our skills. But the university teachers are constantly testing our theoretical knowledge. I guess it"s simply convenient for them. The only thing they have to do is to check the theory tests at home. They don"t have to visit schools and watch us teaching. I"m really fed up with this attitude. I"m going to move to another city or even abroad for a few months and continue my studies there.
